Carers Program
This program is funded by Ageing Disability and Home Care (ADHC) NSW Department of Human Services with the support of Warringah, Manly and Pittwater Councils and local businesses. What We DoOur Carer’s program provides support, education, information, referral and assistance to Carers, who reside in Warringah, Manly or Pittwater, empowering them to manage the demands of their caring situation and to maintain their own health and well being. Who is Eligible?Anyone who is responsible for a member of their family, or a friend, who is frail aged, has dementia or memory loss, has a physical, intellectual or mental health disability or an illness requiring assistance with daily living. How does it work?We provide support for Carer’s through monthly group meetings giving you the opportunity to meet others in like situations, in a relaxed caring and friendly environment. Why not come and join a Carer’s groupA range of Carer’s groups are held from 10am to 12 pm Monday to Friday at our Cromer or Dee Why premises as well as in Pittwater.
For Carers from a Multicultural BackgroundThe Multicultural Carers Program provides social support to people from a Cultural and Linguistically Diverse Background (CALDB) to reduce isolation by providing one-on-one support in accessing services and information utilising the Translating and Interpreting Service 131 450 450.

Guest SpeakersOur groups often invite guest speakers with expertise in their particular field to provide information on and access to appropriate services. What does it cost?Attendance is free although we always appreciate a small gold coin donation where possible. A small fee is required for the Training course, but we understand this may not be always possible, so come and talk to us – we may be able to help.
