VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES

Friendly Visitor

Volunteer needed to enrich the quality of life of a lady in a nursing home on Northern Beaches;  from Queensland, well travelled, loves animals, enjoys knitting, crochet, movies & news. A person with a nursing background would be the most suitable.

Drivers

Friendly, confident volunteer drivers needed to collect elderly clients from their homes in the Pittwater area and then in the afternoon deliver them back home. They do not need an LR Licence as the buses are 12 seaters. 

Social Support Volunteers

Volunteer shoppers needed to assist an elderly person or person with disability with their shopping in Pittwater Warringah and Manly areas. Three hours a fortnight makes all the difference! If you like you can become a volunteer community driver to transport an elderly person to and from appointments or social events.

Gardening Team

Our gardening teams need more volunteers to transform the gardens of elderly and disabled clients throughout the Northern Beaches.  If you are active, friendly and enjoy being outdoors, come and join the team on a Tuesday or a Thursday morning. No experience necessary.

Shopping Helper

Volunteer needed to accompany a man with an intellectual disability in Hostel bus to shops at Warriewood Mall for 2 hours on a Monday morning. Transport is provided there and back.

Gardener

Friendly volunteer gardener needed for a few hours a week for light maintenance of the day care centre garden. Duties involve sweeping, watering and a small amount of weeding.
